COCKTAILS. ..MARTINI,MANHATTAN.&MARGARITA
Who like to mix drinks at home do it for many reasons: it's cheaper than drinking out. , it's fun to mix your own drinks at home. and last but not list, it's even more fun to mix drinks for other people at home..
These days i will present some essential drinks,cocktails that I think everyone should be able to make
.A cocktail is called "a stimulating liquor, composed of spirits of any kind, sugar, water, and bitters..
MARTINI
Within reason, you can mix this one up however you want, and it's still a martini. Make it extra wet with equal parts gin and vermouth. Make it ultra dry with merely a wisp of vermouth. Shake. Garnish with an olive, a lemon twist, an onion, a slice of cucumber.Nowadays it's typical to order one of these in a bar and be given a glass of something clear and cold. With all due respect, that's not a martini, a martini required vermouth—a lot of it, much of the vermouth making its way into martinis was of the sweet Italian variety rather than French dry
Ingredients
2 ounces dry gin
1 ounce dry vermouth
1 dash orange bitters (optional, but highly recommended)
Procedures
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir well to chill and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Twist a piece of lemon peel over the drink and use as garnish, or, if you must, toss in an olive.
MANHATTAN
The classic cocktail, made with rye, sweet vermouth, and bitters.
Ingredients
4 ounces rye whiskey
2 ounces sweet vermouth
4 dashes Angostura bitters
Garnish: 2 Maraschino cherries
Procedures
Pour the whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters into a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir until outside of shaker is very cold to touch.
Place a maraschino cherry in each of two chilled cocktail glasses. Dividing evenly, strain the contents of the shaker over cherries and serve immediately.
MARGARITA
The margarita is a simple recipe, just three ingredients, . Get a good tequila (100% agave), a decent triple sec, and fresh limes, and you're almost guaranteed a great drink.The perfect margarita is all about fresh, crisp flavors barely tempered by triple sec and sugar.
Ingredients
Lime wedge, plus 2 lime wheels for garnish
1 tablespoon coarse salt, for glass rims
4 ounces high quality blanco tequila
2 ounces Cointreau
1 1/2 ounces fresh juice from 2 limes
Procedures
Run lime wedge around the outer rims of two rocks glasses and dip rims in salt. Set aside
In cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice. Fill with ice and shake until thoroughly chilled, about 15 seconds (the bottom of a metal shaker should frost over).
Fill glasses with fresh ice and strain margarita into both glasses. Garnish with lime wheels and serve.
